Chubb added small business insurance for risks faced by the food service industry to its digital platform – the Chubb Marketplace.

The platform includes a number of products for businesses with up to $30 million in revenue.

In addition to Chubb’s Business Owner’s Policy (Chubb BOP), coverage for small businesses within the food service industry is available on the Chubb Marketplace for the following lines of business: Umbrella, Workers’ compensation, Commercial auto, Cyber Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Management and professional Liability, and, Foreign package.

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies expanded its commercial automobile product into Delaware, Kentucky, and the District of Columbia.

The company’s policy is designed for local and intermediate travel exposures up to a 200-mile radius. The commercial auto product is now available in 43 jurisdictions and complements its other lines of business in these territories, including workers’ compensation, businessowner’s policies, and commercial umbrella with more coverages to follow, company said in a statement.

The company’s target markets for auto business include artisan contractors, distributors, retail goods and services, and auto service operations. Certain contracting classes that meet specific automatic underwriting criteria can be instantly written and bound by agents.

Specialist insurance provider CFC Underwriting added a range of free risk management services to its insurance offering for technology companies.

CFC, which is a London-based managing general agent, said it has teamed up with experts from around the globe to provide a wide range of risk management services including:

  • Cyber risk rating report from BitSight allowing customers to benchmark themselves against peers and competitors
  • CFC RepKnight breach monitoring service which continually searches the dark web for information specific to the customer’s organisation and alerts them in real-time to possible breaches of their data
  • Cyber risk awareness training through eLearning tools with support for unlimited users and campaigns, providing customers with a great way to test their team and prepare them for the inevitability of social engineering attacks

Designed for a wide range of technology companies, CFC’s technology insurance policy helps cover the costs associated with delays, mistakes, oversights and miscommunication, along with a host of other traditional and emerging risks that technology companies face in the day-to-day running of their businesses.
