Two Sigma Insurance Quantified (TSIQ), an underwriting technology company for the commercial property/casualty industry, announced a partnership with SambaSafety, a provider of driver risk management technology.

The partnership makes SambaSafety’s suite of driver intelligence data available to users of TSIQ’s underwriting workbench, SubmissionIQ. With the integration now live, underwriting teams utilizing the SubmissionIQ workbench have the ability to access a set of SambaSafety data, including current and historical motor vehicle records, traffic court data, aggregated telematics data and more.

Available through a direct API connection, this partnership allows teams to proactively validate drivers, combatting attempts at disguising data and providing underwriters with a picture of driver riskiness in order to capture a premium reflective of the exposure.

TSIQ’s partnership with SambaSafety follows on the heels of recent announcements with NominoData and Central Analysis Bureau.

The American Equity Underwriters Inc., an Amwins Group company and provider of workers compensation insurance for waterfront employers, has selected CLARA Analytics, a provider of artificial intelligence technology for commercial insurance claims optimization, as their partner in a new initiative that will use advanced technology with the aim of helping adjusters achieve results for the employers who partner with AEU.

As the program administrator for American Longshore Mutual Association, AEU helps waterfront employers improve safety, reduce risk and get care for injured longshore workers. The company will implement CLARA’s Optics and Triage modules, which automate the extraction of information from claims documents and deliver AI-driven insights to monitor medical claims and manage risk.

The Optics module uses natural language processing to transcribe and extract information from medical records and legal demands, highlighting details about individual workers compensation claims. CLARA’s Triage module helps adjusters to identify high-risk casualty claims and flag them for resolution.

CLARA’s AI solutions can natively integrate into the Origami Risk claims platform, a cloud-based, end-to-end claims management solution. AEU is adopting these integration capabilities between CLARA and Origami Risk as part of this venture.
