America Major Accounts division, an arm of the insurance giant that serves risk management needs of large U.S. and Canadian-based companies with complex global risks.

Merna, in this newly-expanded role, will help oversee daily operations for Major Accounts. As well he’ll explore ways to keep expanding Chubb’s core and specialty products, services and coordinated account management to the large account market.

Merna, who has been serving as senior executive vice president of Chubb Global Casualty, will continue in that role. As before, he’ll be based in New York City and still report to Chris Maleno, senior vice president of Chubb Group and Division President of Chubb North America Major Accounts.

Merna joined ACE Group in 2000, before its merger with the old Chubb in 2016.

Willis Towers Watson appointed Joe Peiser as head of Broking, North America, which is part of its Corporate Risk and Broking segment.

In his new job, Peiser will handle the company’s broking strategy in North America, working closely with the insurance carrier marketplace to deliver client products with the best markets, price and terms. He’ll also keep his current role as head of Casualty Broking, where he oversees the company’s casualty portfolio of workers compensation, primary and excess casualty, product recall and international casualty business.

Peiser joined Willis Towers Watson in 2014 and has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience.
