Munich Re’s HSB has started marketing workplace violence insurance coverage for small to mid-size businesses.

HSB Workplace Violence Response provides counselling, crisis communications, lost business income and security services to help companies and their employees respond and recover after a violent event.

The coverage is designed to help support businesses and their employees as they respond to and recover from a threat or an act of physical violence that involves a weapon and occurs at the worksite. It addresses the area within 100 feet of the client business and has a broad definition of “weapon.” It also can cover events that don’t involve a weapon but result in a workplace homicide.

HSB Workplace Violence Response coverage is available as an endorsement to the small business policies of property-casualty insurance companies that partner with HSB.

J.D. Power is launching a real-time auto insurance customer loyalty tracking option.

The company is billing its J.D. Power Auto Insurance Loyalty Indicator & Shopping Trends (LIST) option, which is built around SurveyMonkey Market Research technology, as something that can offer a current, comprehensive view of auto insurance customer shopping behaviors at the national and state level.

LIST delivers daily data and monthly trends in auto insurance shopping behaviors across the top 25 auto insurance brands at the national and state level. It also tracks a range of key metrics developed by the J.D. Power insurance intelligence team to spotlight where brands are winning and losing in customer acquisition, primary drivers of shopping behaviors and detailed shopper profiles. Underlying data for J.D. Power Auto Insurance LIST is drawn from daily surveying of 500-1,000 auto insurance customers sourced by SurveyMonkey’s platform, J.D. Power said.

LIST launches following a six-month pilot with a small group of national auto insurance carriers, according to the company.
