An early prediction of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season suggests there will be 15 tropical storms, with 7 named storms, according to Tropical Storm Risk (TSR).
In a forecast summary released last month, TSR said that while still uncertain, North Atlantic hurricane activity in 2025 will be close to the 1991-2020 30-year norm.
The season runs from June 1st through November 30th this year.
Factors influencing this forecast include: the Atlantic sea surface temperature, trade wind speed, ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) conditions and comparable years.
The next update to the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season forecast will be released on April 7, 2025.
