Swiss Re’s corporate solutions arm named Yvonne Steiner as its head of property, Canada.

Steiner will lead property underwriting operations for the region and oversee teams in Toronto and Vancouver. She’ll replace Claudio Totino, who is retiring in 2016.

Steiner, who will be based in Toronto, has more than 15 years of industry experience. She first joined Swiss Re in Toronto in 2007 and has held a number of underwriting and global product specialist roles, most recently as an underwriter energy expert in Zurich on the products & global markets team for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.

Hiscox appointed a veteran of AXIS Capial and Allied World Assurance Co. to head its alternative Hiscox Logo Small GlobeNewswiredistribution operations.

Adam Holberry will assume his new role as part of Hiscox London Market, where he will look to work with brokers and underwriting partners to develop new areas of insurance coverage.

Holberry first joined Hiscox in 2012 as a property and energy underwriter charged with growing its international property book. He also has previous experience working for AXIS Capital and Allied World Assurance Co./AWH Syndicate 2232, with a focus on international property and MGA business.

Marsh has appointed a new person to head Jelf Group, the formerly independent U.K. broker it acquired in September.

Phil Barton will become the new Jelf Group CEO and also join Marsh’s U.K. and Ireland executive committee, reporting to Mark Weil, CEO of Marsh U.K. and Ireland.

Barton replaces Alex Alway, who will become a nonexecutive director on the Marsh Ltd. board.

Barton first joined Jelf in 2003 and has been the group’s head of compliance, group commercial director and group market director. He was CEO of Jelf’s insurance business since 2010.

Before Jelf, Barton worked in various leadership roles at AXA and Prudential.

Dana Kellerman joined Preferred Mutual Insurance Company as director of human resources.

Previously, she led global service operations and human resources teams at General Electric.

At Preferred Mutual, she’ll lead the human resources division, working with Brian Smith, Preferred’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
