CNA has a new senior vice president; Verisk Analytics business AIR Worldwide gained a new president; RLI promoted two executives.

CNACNA named a Zurich and OneBeacon veteran as its new senior vice president, Commercial Claim.

Peter McCarron most recently served as Zurich North America’s senior vice president, Global Workers Compensation and Accident & Health. Before that, he worked for 14 years in various executive roles at OneBeacon Insurance Group.

At CNA, McCarron will report to Andrew Pinkes, executive vice president, Worldwide P&C Claim.

Verisk Analytics named Bill Churney as president of its AIR Worldwide catastrophe modeling business.

Churney has been with AIR since 2002, most recently serving as chief operating officer. As COO, Churney oversaw strategic direction and company operations for product management, software product development, global business development, marketing, consulting and client services.

Churney replaces Ming Lee, who retired as of Jan. 1, 2016 after 20 years at AIR Worldwide. Lee will continue at AIR in a nonexecutive role until June.

Specialty insurer RLI Corp. promoted Greg Chilson to the position of vice president, RLI Surety.

In his new role, Chilson will oversee RLI’s Commercial Surety, Contract Surety, Energy Surety and Miscellaneous Surety segments.

Chilson has been with RLI since 1999, coming on board as part of the Underwriters Indemnity acquisition.

Separately, RLI promoted Jill Johnson to vice president, Branch Operations. She’ll be responsible for overseeing RLI’s branch operations as well as product support for SLI’s transactional business.

Chilson has been with RLI since 1993, when she joined as an underwriter for its Specialty Markets arm.
