ACE Group said it moved to larger space in Singapore to help facilitate continued expansion in the Asia Pacific Region.
Specifically, ACE’s new operations entail 38,500 square feet housing more than 250 employees over two interconnected floors in Singapore’s central business district.
Juan Louis Ortega, regional president for ACE’s Asia Pacific general insurance operations, said in prepared remarks that the larger space will enable “dynamic collaboration” and also improve ACE’s ability to support its growth strategies in the region.
He noted that Asia Pacific “is a key growth region” for ACE, and that the carrier already has a presence in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kore, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Meanwhile, ACE is moving ahead with plans to buy Chubb for $28 billion, and ACE CEO Evan Greenberg said recently that the senior leadership has already had initial meetings to begin hashing out the integration details.
