CNA appointed a former Chubb executive as its new vice president, Financial Institutions Underwriting.

For this job, Carrie Goesel is based in Chicago and handles leading the Financial Institutions underwriting practice, including Asset Managers, Banks, Insurance Companies, Private Equity and Venture Capitalist. She reports to Paul Larson, senior vice oresident, Financial Institutions and Management Liability, CNA Specialty.

At Chubb, Goesel was most recently senior vice president, Financial Institutions. Over the course of Goesel’s 19-year insurance career, she has held a variety of Financial Institutions underwriting and management positions of increasing responsibility at Travelers and Chubb.

AXIS Insurance, a business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, promoted Nicole Lim to deputy chief underwriting officer, Singapore.

Lim will oversee AXIS’ insurance business in Singapore, along with managing the office’s day-to-day operations. Previously, Lim was vice president, Underwriting, for AXIS’ Singapore office. She will continue to report to Rory MacGregor, the former executive vice president and Singapore underwriting manager for AXIS Insurance, who was promoted to head of Regional Hubs and International Distribution last October. Lim assumes her new role ahead of MacGregor’s return to the company’s London office this summer.

Lim joined AXIS in 2013. A 16-year insurance professional, she previously held various underwriting roles within Allianz, Liberty and Aon Risk Services.
