Marsh debuted what it is billing as a “next-generation online cyber self-assessment tool.” Travelers will start providing U.S. auto claims services for a major ridesharing startup.

Marsh has launched a next-generation online cyber self-assessment tool.

The tool incorporates the latest insights on cybersecurity best practices to provide clients a robust cybersecurity program diagnostic. It also serves as a single application for cyber insurance, streamlining the procurement process, Marsh said in its product description.

The enhanced cyber assessment uses information on organizational cybersecurity controls, technology and people to identify strengths and flag areas of potential concern for underwriters, which Marsh helps clients proactively address prior to underwriting discussions. Marsh combines the assessment with company-specific threat analyses and loss quantification inputs to provide a comprehensive diagnostic of a client’s cyber risk profile to support data-driven cyber risk program decisions.

The online cyber self-assessment tool is currently available to Marsh US clients, with a global rollout planned for 2019.

The Travelers Companies Inc. said it will be the exclusive provider of U.S. auto insurance claim services for rideshare company Lyft, effective Feb. 1.

Nick Seminara, Travelers’ executive vice president of claim services, said that it will be bringing to Lyft customized claims services that have experienced “investments in talent, technology and infrastructure” in recent years.

Lyft’s drivers complete over 10 million rides per week. Travelers provides property/casualty insurance for auto, home and business customers.
