TigerRisk Partners said it is partnering with Cape Analytics to use new aerial technology to help U.S. Insurers speed their claims processing for Hurricane Irma.

The companies say they’re using proprietary before-and-after aerial imagery to help spot reported and unreported losses to TigerRisk’s clients. Having these images handy will help claims processors boost their efficiency, both companies say.

“We instantly saw the value Cape Analytics could bring to our clients by helping them identify the properties in their portfolios most impacted by Irma, prioritize their claims efforts and then deliver the level of service their customers have grown to expect,” Crosby Branch, TigerRisk’s U.S. Head of Innovation, said in prepared remarks.

TigerRisk is an insurance and reinsurance broker, as well as a capital and strategic advisor for both industries. Cape Analytics, launched in 2014, uses geospatial imagery, computer vision and machine learning to instantly and automatically extract proprietary property data.
