The next generation of insurance industry professionals will be gathering next week as Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) presents its 45th Annual International Conference.
Fifty colleges and universities will be sending 500 of their best and brightest undergraduates to attend the conference, held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Columbus, Ohio.
The conference brings top collegiate talent together with a wide range of industry representation for three days of professional development, including the largest insurance-specific career fair in North America, with more than 60 exhibiting organizations and over 300 job interviews scheduled. Attendees will be offered 25 educational sessions, leadership seminars and hot topic forums led by industry professionals.
This year’s conference is one of only three events in the United States participating in the global Dive In Festival, an industrywide event highlighting the business case for diverse and inclusive workplaces and providing practical ideas and inspiration for how to bring about positive change.
Student attendees are preparing for careers as risk managers, actuaries, underwriters, brokers, consultants, agents and more in all areas of the insurance, risk management and actuarial science industries.
