W.R. Berkley Corp. appointed David Dunn as president and chief executive officer of Carolina Casualty, its national transportation insurance division focused on property/casualty coverage for trucking, business and public auto.

Dunn is a 40-year property/casualty insurance industry veteran, and was most recently president of a U.S. specialty insurer, W.R. Berkley said.

W. Robert Berkley, Jr., president and CEO of W.R. Berkley Corp., said in prepared remarks that Dunn’s experience “in managing specialized commercial operations will enable us to apply our capabilities across a broader range of classifications within this market.”

Xl CatlinXL Catlin appointed a longtime Chubb veteran to lead its Excess & Surplus business.

Stephen Oh was most recently president of Chubb Custom Market and has more than 25-years of underwriting and management experience. In his new job as president of XL Catlin’s multiline E&S operation in the U.S., he’ll direct regional underwriting operations, product distribution and development, and strategic growth plans.

Oh is based in New York and reports to Joe Tocco, chief executive of XL Catlin’s Americas region.

Guy Carpenter & Company appointed Tobias Andersson as CEO of GC Stockholm, though the job becomes effective on April 1, 2017. He will take over for Tomas Ljungqvist, who will become chairman of the division.

Andersson will oversee activities of the global risk and reinsurance specialist in the Nordic region, focused on strengthening the firm’s position in the region. He’ll report to Massimo Reina, CEO of Continental Europe and MENA.

Before Guy Carpenter, Andersson was general manager, business area reinsurance and specialty, at Länsförsäkringar Non-Life.

A subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group – Selective Insurance Company of America – announced a number of new executive appointments. Among them:two business men one woman leaders executives women

Teresa Caro is now senior vice president, New Jersey regional manager. Caro first joined Selective in 1978, and has held a number of key field underwriting positions within the organization, most recently serving as vice president of Underwriting for Selective’s New Jersey Region.

Anthony Harnett was named senior vice president, chief accounting officer. He joined Selective in September 1999 as a senior accountant and has held various finance positions, most recently serving as senior vice president, Corporate Controller.

Yanina Montau-Hupka was appointed senior vice president, chief risk officer. Montau-Hupka joined Selective in 2000 as a senior reinsurance accountant. She has held a variety of leadership roles in Selective’s Finance and Operations areas.

Jeffrey Kamrowski was named senior vice president, chief underwriting officer, commercial lines. Kamrowski joined Selective in 1988 as a programming analyst and has held a variety of corporate leadership roles, most recently serving as senior vice president of Commercial Underwriting and Operations.
