CNA Financial Corporation has promoted two executives to new positions in underwriting and sales.
The country’s seventh largest commercial insurance writer (and 13th largest property/casualty company) said it named Rocco Orlando senior vice president for sales and distribution. He’s been with CNA since November 2012, as vice president of its Birmingham (Ala.) branch, and is a 25-year industry veteran.
Orlando will have a wide reach, leading efforts for the United States, Canada and Europe. His job: focusing on executing strategies that drive field performance and distribution plans that help improve CNA’s position with producers.
Also, Jeff Zehr has been appointed as vice president for segment underwriting. He joined CNA in November 2012 as assistant vice president and underwriting segment leader for commercial insurance. He’s also a 20-year insurance industry veteran and has previous underwriting experience with Chubb Corp.
Zehr’s new role will give him new responsibilities including leadership and governance for commercial lines products for CNA’s Financial Institutions and Professional Services customer segments.
