CNA Financial Corp. has hired on a new senior vice president for its healthcare sector segment.
Glen Curley will take over the slot as of Feb. 23. He replaces Andy Shapiro, who is stepping down due to health reasons but will work with Curley “to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.”
Curley was most recently senior vice president, National Healthcare Liability Practice Group Leader for Zurich Financial Services. His main responsibilities there included underwriting, production and marketing of its North American Healthcare practice. As well, Curley served as a member of Zurich’s Specialties Executive Leadership Team, which developed strategy for a $400 million national portfolio of Healthcare business.
CNA is the eight largest commercial insurance writer and the 13th largest property/casualty company. Its coverage areas includes commercial lines, specialty lines, surety, marine and other property/casualty coverage.
