CNA Financial Corp. has announced that Robert Lindemann, president and chief operating officer of CNA Commercial, will retire effective Dec. 31, 2014, after a career spanning more than three decades.
Until a successor is appointed, Dave Rutkowski, senior vice president of commercial underwriting, will assume the day-to-day operational duties, the company said in a statement. He will report to Chairman and CEO Thomas Motamed.
Before joining CNA in 2009, Rutkowski served as senior vice president of Zurich North America’s middle market commercial business. Prior to Zurich, he held underwriting and field leadership roles for several major insurance carriers.
