Swiss Re’s Corporate Solutions arm chose an executive to lead its new global Contingency and Sports Personal Accident team. Two executives formerly with XL Catlin have joined Great American Insurance Group to help build its new Luxury Yacht Program.

Jonathan Cole will lead Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ new global Contingency and Sports Personal Accident (PA) team.

Cole’s formal title will be head of Contingency and Sports PA. He’ll oversee expansion of these lines of business across the four regions where Swiss Re Corporate Solutions conducts business – North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific.

Based in New York, Coll will manage a growing global team of underwriters in London and New York.

Cole has over 16 years of experience placing contingency, non-appearance, film and disability risks for wholesale and retail clients. He joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2012 and has been head of the North American Contingency team since May 2014.

Rick Salway joined Great American Insurance Group as a divisional vice president to oversee development and management of the insurer’s new Luxury Yacht Program.

The program will be housed within the insurer’s Ocean Marine Division, and offer insurance products for luxury yachts through select yacht specialty agents.

Salway has over 25 years of industry experience, most recently as vice president – Recreational Marine at XL Catlin. Prior to that, he held roles with Chubb, Atlantic Mutual and Travelers Luxury Yacht.

In a related move, Sue Cacoilo joined Great American’s Ocean Marine Division as business development manager for the Luxury Yacht Program, where she will handle luxury yacht program underwriting and portfolio management.

Cacoilo has over 20 years of experience within the marine insurance sector, both in retail and reinsurance underwriting with luxury yacht specialization. Previously, she was an assistant vice president at XL Catlin, and held various leadership and underwriting roles at Travelers Luxury Yacht, Atlantic Mutual and Guy Carpenter.
