American International Group promoted Rose Marie Glazer, to the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, effective January 1, 2022.

Glazer is currently Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In her new job, Glazer will report to AIG President and CEO Peter Zaffino, and will join AIG’s Executive Leadership Team.

Glazer has served as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at AIG since March 2017, a role in which she has led the securities, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, real estate, and intellectual property legal teams as well as the Sustainability Office for AIG.

She will continue to serve as Chair of the AIG Foundation and oversee AIG’s Global Citizenship Team and will remain AIG’s Corporate Secretary until a successor is named. Before joining AIG, Glazer served in multiple leadership roles in the legal affairs team at Siemens AG, including as Senior Vice President and General Counsel – Americas from 2011 to 2017.

Prior to her 14-year career at Siemens, Rose Marie was Vice President and General Counsel at Telvista and held in-house counsel positions at Allied Riser Communications and American Airlines.

AXIS Insurance appointed Kenneth (Kenny) Hosp as Vice President of the U.S. Excess Casualty team, effective immediately.

Hosp will cultivate and strengthen relationships with wholesale distribution partners, enhancing new and existing initiatives and opportunities with an emphasis on transportation business, and executing the underwriting strategy. He will be based in Alpharetta, GA, and report to Britt Smith, Senior Vice President, U.S. Excess Casualty.

Hosp was most recently at Gen Re where he was Assistant Vice President – Global Casualty Facultative. Hosp was responsible for primary casualty and excess liability facultative reinsurance production and underwriting. He began his insurance career at State Farm Insurance followed by various underwriting roles at Markel Specialty and Dual Commercial.

W. R. Berkley Corporation named James Hastings as president of W. R. Berkley Syndicate Management Limited, the Lloyd’s managing agent for W. R. Berkley Syndicate 1967, effective February 22, 2022.

David Brosnan will continue as W. R. Berkley Syndicate Management Limited’s chief executive officer. Hastings will assume the role of CEO in 2022, subject to regulatory approval, and Brosnan will remain on the Board of Directors of the Managing Agency following the transition.

Hastings has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry with a particular focus on the London and international markets across multiple classes of business. Most recently, he led the international wholesale division of a specialty insurance group, establishing and developing key client and broker relationships and growing the business to a substantial percentage of the group’s revenue.

Damon Hart has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Liberty Mutual Insurance, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

With this appointment, Hart joins the company’s executive leadership team and will report to Liberty Mutual Chairman and CEO David Long.

Previously, Hart was promoted to Deputy Chief Legal Officer in 2020 and prior to that, served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for litigation and coverage, overseeing the interests of Liberty Mutual and providing enterprise-wide coverage advice and opinions. Hart also spent several years as Deputy General Counsel for Employment Legal. Before joining Liberty Mutual in 2014, Hart was a partner at three national law firms where he focused on litigation and employment matters.

Hart is actively involved in the company’s Employee Resource Groups and throughout the community where he coaches youth sports and mentors rising professionals. He is a founding member of The New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund – a coalition of Black and Brown executives in Massachusetts working to address and eliminate systemic racism and racial inequity. Hart is also on the Board of Directors of The Home for Little Wanderers and the New England Legal Foundation.

In a related move, Liberty Mutual’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Jim Kelleher is retiring at the end of 2021.

Kelleher held multiple leadership roles during his notable, nearly four-decade career at Liberty Mutual, including managing the corporate litigation group, serving as General Counsel of Liberty International and as deputy counsel, he oversaw the provision of legal services to all of the company’s domestic and foreign insurance operations.
