
Munich Re appointed a new Chief Legal Officer for its U.S. division. Everest Insurance named a new head of the company’s Excess & Surplus Primary Casualty unit.

Munich Re America appointed Richard Alleyne as Chief Legal Officer, Munich Re U.S. P&C Companies.
Alleyne will be based in Hartford, Conn. and report to Adrienne Mageras, Chief Operating Officer for Munich Re America Services, Inc. He’ll be based in Princeton, N.J., and also report to Tony Kuczinski, CEO of Munich Re U.S. Holding.
Alleyne has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience in areas including claims, reinsurance and litigation. Previously, he was Deputy General Counsel and Head of the Business Law Group at The Hartford, and spent more than 10 years there in various executive roles, according to his LinkedIn page.

Everest Insurance named Michael Cipolla head of the company’s Excess & Surplus Primary Casualty unit.
Cipolla will handle developing the product portfolio and leading the continued growth of primary casualty business in the wholesale space. He’ll still be based in the company’s Atlanta office, reporting to Michael Finnegan, Head of E&S Casualty.
Cipolla has been with Everest for almost five years and most recently served as Vice President, E&S Casualty, where he led the expansion of the wholesale portfolio in the Southeast region.
