Great American Insurance Group promoted two longtime executives to the role of senior vice president for its Property and Casualty group.

One, James (Jim) Muething, has been with Great American since 2001. The other, Bruce Smith, signed on in 1992.

Over his time at Great American, Muething has held a variety of positions within the P/C Group. In 2012, he was promoted to divisional group president and assumed oversight for four P/C businesses.

Smith has held a variety of positions within the P/C Group, including divisional president. In 2012, he was promoted to divisional group president overseeing a number of P/C businesses.
