American International Group appointed Jonathan Wismer as Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.
Wismer will be based in New York and report to Sid Sankaran, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He succeeds Elias Habayeb, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer for General Insurance in May.
Wismer previously served as Group Controller for Zurich Insurance Group, based in Zurich, Switzerland, and he spent nine years at Liberty Mutual, culminating with his appointment as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Liberty International. He also held senior financial and regulatory reporting leadership positions at Allianz Group in Munich, Germany and worked at KPMG, where he began his career.
Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. named Thomas Bradley to its board of directors.
Argo Group Chairman Gary Woods said Bradley, a veteran insurance industry executive, brings experience to the international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance that “will be pivotal in assessing and improving Argo Group’s financial structure and performance.”
Bradley retired from Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG in July 2017. While there, he served as chief financial officer and executive vice president going back to 2012. Before joining Allied, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for two other public companies: Fair Isaac Corporation and The St. Paul Companies. Bradley also held senior financial and operational positions at Zurich Insurance Group, including chief financial officer for North America and chief executive officer of the Universal Underwriters Group (now Zurich Direct Markets). He also served on the board of directors of Nuveen Investments, Inc.
