AIG’s deputy general counsel is retiring, and his replacement begins in the position on March 8. Brit Global Specialty USA has a new senior vice president with a focus on cyber and technology.

AIG hired Rose Marie Glazer as its new vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary.
Glazer, who is set to begin on March 8, will oversee the corporate security, corporate secretary, and mergers and acquisitions legal teams. She’ll report to Peter Solmssen, executive vice president and general counsel. She replaces Jeffrey Welikson, who is retiring.
Before AIG, Glazer was general counsel – Americas, and corporate secretary for Siemens Corporation, a role she held since 2012. Before that, Glazer was general counsel and secretary at Telvista Inc.

Michael Carr has been named a senior vice president at Brit Global Specialty USA, and he’ll lead its new
Cyber and Technology team.
Previously, Carr, a 30-year insurance industry veteran, was Technology practice leader at Argo Group. He’s focused on underwriting cyber and technology business for the last 14 years and is a founding co-chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society’s Cyber Symposium.
Carr will be based in Chicago and begin writing business in April. The U.S.-based cyber team he will lead is designed to complement Brit’s current London-based platform, with a mission to meet the growing demand for cyber and technology products in the small-to-midsize business sector in the U.S.
