In partnership with Philadelphia Insurance Companies, an international property/casualty and professional liability insurance carrier, the companies have rolled out small business general liability in the U.S. for the specialty market.

The new product will complement Slice’s artisan contractors general liability product and Slice’s mission to support the underserved specialty small business insurance market. Agents across a network of more than 200,000 will have access to this small business insurance product.

Slice’s fully digital, Contractors GL small business insurance product focuses on contractors, general contractors, and remodelers with more than 65 types of businesses. Initial availability is in Florida, Mississippi, and Missouri, with 45 additional states to follow, including all states but Louisiana and New York. Agents can purchase online with a credit card monthly or annually.

Sunnova Energy International Inc., a U.S. energy as a service provider, announced it is teaming up with Amica Insurance, a provider of auto, home, and life insurance, to expand the reach of Sunnova’s clean, affordable, and reliable energy services.

Sunnova and Amica will work together to offer energy services to Amica’s customers, as well as insurance products to Sunnova’s customers, to provide a combined solution of clean energy and insurance to homeowners across the U.S.

The two companies will work together to offer the Sunnova Adaptive Home, which integrates solar, battery storage, energy control, and other hardware and software technologies, for the full electrification of the home. The Sunnova Adaptive Home is not only able to produce and store energy, it also adapts by optimizing energy sources and consumption predictively in real time.
