Zurich Resilience Solutions in North America is offering customers a service that can help them combat toxic work cultures and improve employee retention.

Collaborating with Work Shield, a misconduct service that helps employees, protects cultures and mitigates corporate risk, the Workplace Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Services of ZRS provides an employer intelligence platform that helps companies to effectively manage and resolve workplace misconduct through technology.

The new Work Shield platform includes a reporting tool for individuals to confidentially report concerns directly to Work Shield via mobile, desktop, or a human-centric call center. It also includes impartial investigations, in which a national team of trained professionals investigate every incident, and resolution recommendations that are determined based on investigation findings. The platform also provides culture data and analytics based on industrywide aspects.

Earlier this year, ZRS announced the launch of an offering called the Workplace Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Service in collaboration with Inclusion Score, an organization that advised on a new global diversity and inclusion standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization.

Zurich North America is a provider of insurance services to businesses and individuals. It is part of multi-line insurer Zurich Insurance Group. Founded in 2018, Work Shield’s Employer Intelligence Platform partners with organizations to efficiently manage reporting, investigation, and resolution of workplace misconduct, toxicity, harassment, and discrimination issues.

Mercury Insurance announced that the company has made its usage-based insurance app, MercuryGO, available to drivers in Virginia to help improve driving skills and traffic safety.

The app acts as a virtual driving coach, providing skill scores that give real-time feedback about driving behavior. Mercury auto insurance policyholders who enroll to use the app immediately receive a 5% participation discount and teen drivers will receive up to a 10% discount. Then, when MercuryGO customers renew their policies, they could receive a discount of up to 40%, depending upon their driving score.

The MercuryGO app generates a driving skill score, which is calculated based on categories that are closely correlated with car crashes such as excessive speeding, hard braking, distracted driving, and road type.

The app also provides benefits such as a sharing option for families, which allows all participating drivers to see who is the safest, and the ability for parents to receive real-time feedback about their teen’s driving behavior. Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), Mercury’s technology partner, is a smartphone telematics provider.
