Swiss Re Corporate Solutions made three key leadership appointments in its Financial & Professional Services (FinPro) underwriting team.

Laura Coppola, who joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in January 2020 as Head Casualty and FinPro North America, was appointed Global Head FinPro in addition to her existing role. Going forward, she will handle driving the company’s growth in this line of business, overseeing a team of business leaders, underwriters and product managers, and developing the company’s FinPro underwriting strategy globally. Coppola is based in New York City.

Coppola has held numerous leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the industry.

Kristyn Smallcombe was appointed Global Head Construction Professional Indemnity and General Liability (PI & GL) in addition to her current role as Head Construction PI & GL North America, which she has held since 2018. In her new position, Smallcombe will be responsible for developing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ Construction PI and GL underwriting approach. She will continue to be based in Chicago and report to Coppola.

Beefore Swiss Re, Smallcombe held numerous leadership roles, product line management and senior underwriting positions at AIG, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Paul Rodriguez was appointed Global Head Executive Risks in addition to his existing role as Head Executive Risks North America. Rodriguez will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Corporate Solutions’ Executive Risks product line, which includes Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Fiduciary Liability solutions. He will continue to be based in New York City and report to Coppola.

Before joining Swiss Re in 2011, Rodriguez held management and underwriting positions with ACE (now part of Chubb), Travelers and AIG, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Chubb appointed Nandini Mani Executive Vice President, Claims for Overseas General Insurance, the company’s international general insurance business in 51 countries and territories.

Currently, Mani is Deputy General Counsel and Head of Global Litigation. In her new role, she will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s international claims organization, both retail and wholesale, that supports Chubb’s property and casualty, accident and health, and personal lines insurance businesses in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Far East, and Eurasia and Africa.

Mani will report to Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and President of Overseas General Insurance, and Mike Smith, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Global Claims Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.

Mani joined Chubb in 2015, leading all global investigations and litigation. Previously, she served as Managing Counsel at BNY Mellon. Before that, Mani was an attorney with Debevoise & Plimpton.
