W.R. Berkley Corp. appointed Timothy Nelligan as president of Continental Western Group, a Berkley Company that sells a number of commercial insurance products in 13 states.

Nelligan is a 30-year veteran of the property/casualty insurance industry, with experience leading agencies and underwriting divisions with a major property/casualty insurance carrier

He has a background in underwriting, sales, operational planning and execution, and corporate strategy development and implementation. Mash appointed Tamara Simpkins Franklin as Chief Digital, Data, and Analytics Officer, effective October 1.

Marsh appointed Tamara Simpkins Franklin as Chief Digital, Data, and Analytics Officer, effective October 1.

Based in New York, she reports to John Doyle, President & CEO of Marsh.

In this role, Franklin will be responsible for designing and implementing digital technologies and enhancing the use of data and analytics to transform how Marsh supports and serves clients.

Franklin joins Marsh from IBM where she was most recently Vice President of Media and Entertainment Solutions, North America. She brings more than 25 years of experience leading digital transformations and defining strategies for large multinational organizations, including Scripps, Time Warner, and Motorola.
