A former AIG executive has joined W.R. Berkley Corp. to lead a new commercial transportation insurance division backed by data and analytics technology.
Jeanne Fenster will be president of Berkley Prime Transportation, which will provide primary commercial transportation insurance products nationally for standard and preferred risks. Berkley added that the new division will rely on analytics and technology to develop new ways to boost quality and service for agents and customers.
Fenster is a 25-year property-casualty insurance industry veteran. Previously, Fenster was senior vice president Global Head of Commercial Auto and General Liability at American International Group, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also has previous executive experience from stints at The Hartford and Progressive Insurance.
Robert Berkley Jr., president and CEO of W.R. Berkley Corp., said in prepared remarks that Fenster brings “a wealth of experience” to the table in transportation insurance but also predictive modeling and analytics.
“The establishment of this new division will enable us to expand our footprint in commercial auto at a particularly good time,” Berkley said. “The division’s data and analytics tools will provide opportunities for broad application throughout much of the group that will offer greater value to all stakeholders.”
