Travelers has come out with a new mobile app designed to help business insurance customers access numerous risk management tools. Pie Insurance has expanded its workers compensation coverage for small businesses into new states.
The Travelers Companies Inc. debuted a new mobile app for business insurance customers designed to give them access to risk management tools.
Travelers said that the app – Risk Toolworks – is available on iOS and Android devices. Through it, customers can access Travelers’ best tools, guides and resources from their mobile devices to conveniently manage risks.
In addition to more than 1,000 risk management guides and training resources, Risk Toolworks offers features including a checklist and inspection tool, task manager, self-assessment function, risk control correspondence archive and industrial hygiene lab order forms.
Travelers customers who already have access to the Risk Control customer portal can download Risk Toolworks from the Apple App Store or Google Play. For initial access, users log in with their portal ID and password. After authenticating their account, users can sign in via fingertip or facial recognition or by entering their account password.
Pie Insurance has started selling workers compensation insurance to small businesses in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Washington, D.C.
With that advance, Pie now offers the coverage in at least 20 states and the District of Columbia, according to its website, with more expansions pending.
News of the market expansion comes after Pie raised a $45 million financing round, which it disclosed in March. That financing was designed to fuel further expansion for its online workers comp business. Investors in the Series B Round included SVB Capital, Sirius Group, Greycroft, Moxley Holdings, Aspect Ventures and Elefund.
