The PURE Group of Insurance Companies promoted two executives to lead its claims and risk management divisions. CNA appointed a former AIG executive to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

The PURE Group of Insurance Companies made two executive appointments affecting claims and risk management.

Michael Taylor has been promoted to chief claims officer and Jason Metzger has been promoted to head of risk management. They will both join the company’s executive committee, reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Ross Buchmueller.

Taylor joined PURE in 2016 as deputy claims officer, bringing with him more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, including executive roles at AIG and CNA. Taylor began his career at Allstate Insurance.

Metzger joined PURE in 2013 following a decade at Progressive, where he served in multiple leadership roles. During his tenure at PURE, he has overseen broker distribution and led business development for the New York Metro region in a general management role.

The PURE Group of Insurance Companies includes Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE), the policyholder-owned property/casualty insurer designed for high-net-worth individuals and families.

CNA appointed former AIG executive Jennifer Livingstone to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective June 18, 2018.

In partnership with CNA’s branch managers, Livingstone will be accountable for developing and executing marketing strategies. She will report to Doug Worman, executive vice president and chief underwriting officer.

Livingstone joins CNA after 25 years in the insurance industry, in both underwriting and sales roles. She spent the majority of her career at AIG in roles of increasing scope and responsibility. Livingstone spent her last seven years at AIG as senior vice president, head of broker relations and channel management. Since 2016, Livingstone has served as vice president of global sales development at Cyence, where she was responsible for sales, marketing and business development for Cyence’s platform that helps the insurance industry manage cyber risk.
