Ed, the global reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker, announced the appointment of Jonathan Tilman as chief actuary late last week.
Tilman will take up his role in the final quarter of 2017.
Tilman brings over 30 years’ London market experience, with two decades at executive management level, to his new role. He will be responsible for establishing a global actuarial and analytics capability at Ed.
He joins from Charles Taylor Managing Agency where he served as chief actuary. Prior to this, Tilman held the role of executive vice president and chief actuary of the insurance division at AXIS Capital. Tilman has also held senior actuarial roles at Tillinghast Towers Perrin and Guy Carpenter.
He began his career in 1986 at The Hartford.
