CoreLogic President and CEO Anand Nallathambi has passed away after a brief illness.

Nallathambi held both titles with company since 2010. CoreLogic is known for providing catastrophe modeling, as well as data and analytics for the insurance, financial services and real estate industries.

California-based CoreLogic noted his passing in a March 3 announcement. The company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Paul Folino said in prepared remarks that Nallathambi’s passing was “unexpected.”

Nallathambi “was an outstanding leader and we will miss his many talents, energy and can-do spirit,” Folino said.

Acting president and CEO Frank Martell remembered Nallathambi as a “very special and unique man” who helped build Core Logic “into a leader in the global housing ecosystem.”

“He was one of those extraordinary people that everyone loved and wanted to be around,” Martell added in prepared remarks. “I will so miss him – his great warmth, grace, integrity and our close friendship.”

Before CoreLogic, Nallathambi held various leadership positions at First Advantage Corp. and First American Corp. He was also a volunteer with organizations including the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Operation HOPE and the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton.
