Beazley, a provider of specialist healthcare management liability insurance, added two new underwriters to its Chicago office.
Stavan Israel was most recently at CNA, where he was an underwriting specialist focused on healthcare accounts. Before that he was a Chubb underwriter for its Chicago and Kansas City offices.
Scott Adams comes on board from Willis Towers Watson, where he was most recently an assistant vice president in the Midwest FINEX division.
The pair will underwrite for Beazley Remedy, which helps healthcare providers address their management liability, regulatory and other exposures.

Endurance Specialty Holdings named Christopher Sparro to the position of executive vice president and CEO of U.S. Insurance.
Previously, Sparro was president of financial lines for the Americas region at AIG, where he’s credited with building an extensive network of wholesale and retail distribution partners across the U.S. The industry veteran will be tasked with continuing to build the company’s U.S. product portfolio, which is currently focused on professional, casualty, property and specialty covers.
Sparro will be based in Endurance’s New York City office and report to Jack Kuhn, CEO of Global Insurance.

W.R. Berkley Corp. brought in a former Marsh & McClennan executive as its new chief information officer.
Richard Lowery will also have the title of senior vice president. His job: to handle development and launch of strategic information technology initiatives, and he’ll report to Lucille Sgaglione, executive vice president.
Lowery most recently served in executive roles at Risk Solutions International and Marsh & McLennan Companies.
