Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance named four executives to lead a new division in the U.S. and Canada. ANV named a new executive to one of its divisions. Allianz appointed a new CEO to its investment management subsidiary PIMCO.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance appointed four executives to lead its new Transactional Liability Insurance division in the U.S. and Canada.
Robert Underhill is senior vice president, head of Transactional Liability, and Dan Crosby is vice president. Amy Bowman and Michael Brooks have both been named assistant vice presidents.
Underhill, with more than 15 years of financial and insurance industry experience, was most recently a partner at Locke Lord. While there, he focused on insurance M&A, insurance linked securities, reinsurance, and other insurance transactional and regulatory matters.
Crosby was most recently vice president and underwriting leader, transactional liability, for QBE Americas Inc. Bowman joined BHSI in 2014 as counsel, and previously handled various legal roles at AIG. Brooks as previously an associate at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP.
ANV Global Services Ltd., the international managing general underwriter of global specialty insurance group ANV, appointed Simon Fragiacomo as professional lines underwriter.
Fragiacomo will be based in Barcelona and report to Dennis Gattinger, underwriting director, professional lines. He’ll be tasked with growing the professional lines portfolio in France and French speaking Europe.
Before ANV, Fragiacomo was at XL Catlin in Paris, where he was financial institutions underwriter for France.
Allianz’s asset management subsidiary Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) named a new CEO.
Emmanuel (Manny) Roman takes over the chief executive officer slot as of Nov. 1. He replaces Douglas Hodge, who helped lead PIMCO in recent years, and will now become managing director and senior advisor. He’ll work with Roman to help ensure a smooth transition.
Roman has nearly 30 years experienced in investment management, with expertise in fixed income, alternatives, and other asset classes.
