Aspen U.S. Insurance has appointed David Adamczyk as executive vice president of its new railroad business line, effective Nov. 30, 2015.
He will report to Bob Rheel, president of Aspen U.S. Insurance.
Adamczyk was previously senior vice president of the Railroad Department at Liberty International Underwriters and has prior experience at Arch, Zurich and CNA. He is a recognized railroad expert throughout the industry, according to a statement from Aspen.
Aspen U.S. Insurance is part of Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., a Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer that is generally thriving on its own in a year with heightening pressures to merge and consolidate. The company has enjoyed growth in many regions this year including the U.K., Asia Pacific and Latin America.
Earlier this month, Aspen announced it had hired two XL Catlin executives to help launch and grow its Singapore operations.
