Ironshore Canada has expanded its energy practice and appointed Michael Marino to lead the team.
As senior vice president of energy, Marino will be responsible for expanding specialty business lines for Ironshore’s global suite of products, serving the oil & gas, mining, chemical and power generation sectors. He will report to Ironshore Canada Chairman Paul Primiani.
Prior to joining Ironshore, Marino led the global energy practice for AIG and RSA. He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has held senior management positions with Swiss Re, KPMG, Canadian Pacific and Factory Mutual Group.
Also appointed to the energy team is underwriter Anthony Kapsimalis, who will augment the Ironshore Global Energy Property Practice Group under the leadership of Nigel Jobson, based in New York. Kapsimalis most recently was an energy underwriter with RSA and GCAN Insurance Co.
