Everest Re Group brought in a Marsh & McLennan veteran to head the U.S. offices of one of its insurance arms.
Jonathan Zaffino is now president of Everest National Insurance Company’s U.S. insurance operations.
He was managing director of the U.S. casualty practice at Marsh from 2010 to 2013. Most recently, he was president of Victor O. Shinnerer & co. Inc., an underwriting manager of professional liability and specialty insurance programs.
Zaffino also previously held executive underwriting positions at ACE and Willis North America.
With Zaffino on board, Darryl Bradley, the previous president of Everest National/U.S. Insurance operations, will focus on expanding Everest’s insurance division into international markets. His new title: head of international insurance operations.
