Hamilton USA, the New Jersey-based insurance operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, has appointed Rich Koehler as president of middle market and programs.
Koehler will report to CEO Conan Ward and will be based in Princeton.
“Rich is the right person for the job of developing our middle market and program book of business,” said Ward in a statement. “While he was at Guy Carpenter, Rich was instrumental in establishing our business plan. His broad experience—as a broker, insurer and reinsurer—gives him the perspective we’re looking for as we examine ways to shift the insurance paradigm.”
Koehler, who brings 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries to his new position, most recently served as managing director at Guy Carpenter. His previous experience includes positions as a broker at Marsh & McLennan and as an underwriter at Centre Re and Munich Re America.
