Aspen U.S. Insurance, part of the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., has appointed Roxanne Mitchell as executive vice president and chief casualty officer.
She will report to Bob Rheel, EVP and head of U.S. property/casualty.
Mitchell is a 35-year industry veteran and most recently served as the president of excess and surplus Lines at XL.
Mitchell’s appointment, together with the addition of a number of new underwriters and promotions within the team, will strengthen Aspen Insurance’s presence in the U.S. casualty market, the company said in its announcement.
“The specialty casualty market in the U.S. is complex and requires deep expertise and creative solutions. Roxanne’s extensive knowledge of the segment, coupled with the expertise inherent within our casualty team, means that we are strongly placed to understand and support the unique specialty needs of our clients,” said Rheel.
