Jay Fishman left his CEO role. Alan Schnitzer, CEO of Travelers’ Business and International Insurance unit, replaced him. Fishman remains as Executive Chairman.

W.R. Berkley Corp. Founder William Berkley left his CEO slot. He was replaced by his son, W.R. Berkley Jr., though he will stay on as Chairman.

GNY Insurance Cos. CEO Warren Heck was replaced as CEO by his daughter, Elizabeth Heck, who had served as President and Chief Financial Officer. Board members/outside consultants made the decision without his involvement.

State Farm. CEO Edward Rust Jr. stepped down after 30 years in the job, to be replaced by Michael Tipsord.

Zurich Insurance Group. CEO Martin Senn resigned in the face of financial setbacks and board pressure. Mario Greco will start as new CEO on May 1.

Western World Insurance Group. CEO Thomas Mulligan retired after 33 years. The new President and CEO is Robert Livingston.

Grange Insurance. President and CEO Tom Welch retired, succeeded by John Ammendola.

Scottsdale Insurance Co. Michael Miller moved on from President to a new role as Head of Strategic Investments for corporate parent Nationwide. Nationwide executive Tom Clark succeeded him.

State Auto Financial Corp./State Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. Robert Restrepo Jr. retired as President and CEO, replaced by Michael LaRocco.

Donegal Group. CEO Donald Nikolaus left his CEO slot after a medical leave but continued as Chairman. Kevin Burke replaced him as CEO.

American Modern. Manny Rios resigned as CEO, citing personal reasons. American Modern Chairman Tony Kuczinski, also President and CEO of parent Munich Reinsurance America Inc., took over CEO responsibilities.

Penn National Insurance. Kenneth Shutts stepped down as CEO and was replaced by Christine Sears.

Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co. Darwin Copeman retired as CEO, and Scott Murphy replaced him.

Vermont Mutual. William Catto retired as CEO, to be replaced by Daniel Bridge.

USAA. President and CEO Josue Robles Jr. retired and was replaced by Stuart Parker.

Ohio Mutual. President and CEO Jim Kennedy retired and was succeeded by Mark Russell.

Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Co. President Stott Wallace retired and was replaced by parent HCI’s Chairman and CEO Paresh Patel, who is also Executive Chairman of Homeowners Choice.
