Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty named one of its existing executives as the new global head of Cyber. Alliant brought in a new executive who will help design and launch risk management and property/casualty insurance products to the Minneapolis market and surrounding region.

Emy Donavan has been promoted to global head of Cyber at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, effective March 31, 2017.

Donavan is currently regional head of Cyber for AGCS North America. She will succeed Nigel Pearson, who left AGCS to pursue other opportunities.

In her new role, Donavan will oversee cyber insurance for both commercial companies and financial institutions, as well as IT Tech Professional Indemnity insurance. She will lead an experienced team of regional cyber underwriters globally and further develop AGCS’s cyber and IT Tech PI product roster.

Donavan will report to Bernard Poncin, global head of Financial Lines at AGCS. AGCS added that Donavan’s regional role will not be replaced.

Alliant hired Kenneth Cooksey as a first vice president within its Alliant Americas division.

In his new role, Cooksey will design and deploy a number of risk management and property/casualty insurance products to clients in the Minneapolis market and throughout the region.

Cooksey has previous experience with clients in industries including energy, entertainment, building materials, construction, manufacturing and distribution. Alliant said that Cooksey has gained attention for his ability to insure large and complex risks through creative options such as large deductible plans, captives and risk retention groups.

Before Alliant, Cooksey was a senior vice president with a national insurance brokerage, Alliant said.

Alliant Insurance Services provides property/casualty, workers compensation, employee benefits, surety, and financial products and services to clients across the U.S.
