GEICO announced that David Foy has been appointed chief financial officer, effective June 29. He will oversee all finance and real estate functions.
Foy will be based at GEICO’s headquarters in Bethesda and will report to Nancy Pierce, GEICO’s chief executive officer.
In his new role, Foy will help shape GEICO’s financial strategy, oversee planning and capital management, and partner closely with leaders across the business to support disciplined growth and strong financial and operational performance.
Foy brings more than 30 years of experience across insurance and financial services. In recent years, he has advised on insurance-sector investments and transaction strategy, including several years as an independent consultant to the insurance industry. For 14 years, he served as chief financial officer of White Mountains Insurance Group, where he led global finance functions and executed major transactions and acquisitions. Before that, he served as chief financial officer of Hartford Life.
Pierce said that Foy’s “extensive leadership experience across insurance and financial services will be instrumental to our continued success, and his expertise in capital management and building high-performing teams will support the long-term decisions that drive sustainable growth.”
