Outagamie County Recycling & Solid Waste highlighted a new speed limit sign that reads 17.3 MPH on a recent Facebook post.
The Wisconsin recycler posted the sign with an odd speed limit to get drivers’ attention.
“Why 17.3? Because it makes you pause. It makes you look twice. And most importantly, it breaks that ‘autopilot’ feeling we can all fall into when driving familiar routes,” the social media post stated.
Because of the variety of drivers that use their facility, the recycler wanted to ensure everyone remains alert and safe.
The post has racked up several views and comments since its April 27 debut.
