New analysis shows that aggressive driving peaks during the weekends, coinciding with Halloween celebrations this year, according to Allstate’s Drivewise data.

Aggressive driving behavior in major U.S. cities is especially common on the weekends, peaking between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m, according to information from the safe driving app.

Halloween falls on a Friday this year, overlapping with already-dangerous weekend driving hours.

“Halloween weekend brings out costumes, candy and, unfortunately, some risky driving behavior,” Brian Tidwell, Allstate safety expert.

Analysis of driving behavior across the 50 most populous U.S. cities identified the 10 riskiest roads based on rates of hard braking and speeding, two key indicators of aggressive driving.

Each road is part of an interstate or heavily trafficked state highway, according to Allstate, often located near busy interchanges and exit ramps where sudden stops, complex merges and lane changes are more frequent.
