An arrest warrant was issued for a South Carolina woman after the deer hit claim she submitted to Progressive Northern Insurance Company was deemed to be fraudulent.
In October 2023, Queen Viola Arthur, submitted a claim for damage that she alleged occurred as a result of a deer strike.
The digital photos she provided contained metadata showing they had been taken prior to the auto insurance policy inception date and the date the alleged deer hit took place.
Arthur’s claim of a little more than $2000 was denied and a charge for presenting a false claim seeking an insurance payment was pursued by the insurer.
