Allstate has announced that Mike Fiato will join the carrier, assuming the titles of executive vice president and chief claims officer, effective Jan. 22, 2024.
Fiato, an industry veteran with more than 32 years of industry experience, was formerly executive vice president and chief claims and service officer for Liberty Mutual’s U.S. Consumer Claims organization, which handles personal auto physical damage and casualty, property, and small commercial claims.
In his new role at Allstate, Fiato will oversee the strategic and operational direction of the Claims organization, which employs more than 16,000 employees globally and handles over 6.5 million claims annually.
Prior to joining Liberty Mutual in 2017, Fiato worked at Progressive where he started his career as a claims trainee and advanced up the ranks to become general manager of their Midwest Region.
Fiato has held a variety of leadership roles throughout his tenure and sat on various boards and forums, including the Advisory Board of Lexis-Nexis.
