Munich Re Specialty Insurance (MRSI) appointed Sabrina Hart as president and chief executive officer, effective May 1.

Hart has served as interim CEO since January 2023 when former CEO Michael Kerner was appointed as a member of the Munich Re Board of Management, Global Specialty Insurance (GSI) division. She will report to Kerner and will also serve as a member of the GSI executive leadership team.

Hart joined MRSI in 2022 as president, Excess and Surplus Lines (E&S). Prior to MRSI, she spent 25 years with a major global insurance carrier, the last seven years as executive vice president, Midwest Region. She also held senior leadership positions with several other industry-leading carriers and brokers.

Hart is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, and completed the Executive Management Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She was selected as a “Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance in 2013 and was inducted into Insurance Business America’s Insurance Hall of Fame in 2020.

Kerner said that Hart’s “extensive industry experience and strong underwriting acumen, coupled with her proven leadership ability and collaborative nature, make her uniquely qualified to guide MRSI moving forward.”

Chubb appointed Annmarie Camp as North America Business Development Leader. She will be responsible for providing oversight to the business development team that represents and sells the full range of Chubb commercial lines products and services in the region.

Camp will report to Rob Poliseno, chief operating officer, North America Field Operations, and will relocate from London to the metro New York area.

Camp has over two decades of insurance industry experience. In her recent position as head of Personal Risk Services for Chubb in Europe, she had responsibility for the performance of the company’s high-net-worth personal lines business in the UK and Continental Europe. Since joining Chubb in 2009, she has held a variety of national and regional roles with a focus on sales and distribution. Prior to joining Chubb, she held marketing and sales roles at AIG Private Client Group and Progressive Insurance.

Poliseno said that during her 14-year career at Chubb, Camp “has developed an enviable track record of leadership in motivating and empowering high-performing teams within personal lines businesses in the U.S. and abroad.”

Ascot appointed Owen Williams to the newly created role of chief information officer, Ascot U.S. He will be responsible for leading, developing and evolving the company’s business technology road map to support the rapid growth of the organization.

A veteran in the industry, Williams has been working in the insurance and technology sectors for more than three decades and has held senior leadership roles at specialty insurance and reinsurance companies since 2010. Most recently, he worked as CIO for Everest Re Group’s Insurance division, responsible for the support and delivery of technology-driven solutions and creating the technology road map for investment in core and strategic platforms.

Previously, he oversaw corporate technology initiatives as CIO for Hamilton USA, chief technology officer for Tokio Marine North America Services, and Claims CIO for Chubb.
