Zurich North America has created a new position to address social inflation and tort reform, naming Allen Kirsh as head of Claims Judicial and Legislative Affairs.
As part of his new role, Kirsh will be advocating for changes in the law consistent with tort reform issues, supporting judges and legislators who fairly balance industry and social interests, and collaborating with business leaders and trade associations to drive a fair legal process for claim adjudication.
Kirsh will work closely with the company’s Government & Regulatory Relations and Corporate Law teams. He will report to Paul Lavelle, chief claims officer at Zurich North America.
Kirsh has been with Zurich since 2002 and has served as the head of Claims Staff Legal since 2019. Prior to that, he held numerous leadership positions in Claims Administration and Operations, Claims Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning.
