Specialist insurer Beazley named its first-ever Global Head of Cyber Services. Hamilton Insurance Group appointed a new Head of Management Liability for its U.S. Excess and Surplus (E&S) business.

Specialist insurer Beazley has named Raf Sanchez as its Global Head of Cyber Services. A spokesperson confirmed that the role is new within the Beazley organization, which is the third largest provider of cyber insurance.

Sanchez, currently International Manager of Beazley Breach Response Services, assumes his new Global Head of Cyber Services role on Oct. 1, at which point he joins the Global Cyber & Tech Management Team. He will continue to be based in London.

Beazley said that Sanchez has been integral to the development of Beazley‘s breach response services, which are a key element of the Beazley Breach Response product that was launched in 2009. In his new role, Sanchez will direct global risk management and incident response functions, playing a pivotal role in Beazley‘s Cyber Ecosystem, the company said.

Hamilton Insurance Group appointed Kevin Marzec as Head of Management Liability for its U.S. Excess and Surplus (E&S) business.

Reporting to Clay Rhoades, President, U.S. E&S, Marzec has responsibility for building out the U.S.-based book of management liability insurance business, leveraging Hamilton Insurance DAC, the Company’s platform supporting U.S. E&S lines that shares its rating of “A-” by A.M. Best Company, Inc.

Marzec joins Hamilton with experience in the wholesale management liability space, most recently having spent nearly 12 years with Ironshore in Tampa as Assistant Vice President, U.S. Wholesale D&O Division where he developed a national strategy for tough-to-place business.

Before Ironshore, Marzec spent four years as Private Enterprise Producer at Beazley Group in Atlanta. Early in his career, he spent several years as a senior underwriter at both ACE Westchester and AIG.
