Church Mutual Insurance Company announced that it has created an armed intruder resource kit that’s free to all educational institutions, featuring videos, checklists, FAQs, and important assessment and planning guides.
The specialty insurer is also continuing its partnerships with industry experts ALICE Training Institute (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) and Secure Education Consultants to host a series of seminars across the United States to help organizations develop plans and procedures to keep their people safe before, during and after a violent attack. The seminars will help leaders learn to identify warning signs and how best to de-escalate an armed intruder crisis. Church Mutual said that more than 2,500 people have received training through these large-scale community events since the program launched in 2017.
Church Mutual offers specialized insurance for religious organizations, public and private K-12 schools, colleges and universities, senior living facilities, camps and conference centers, and nonprofit and human services organizations throughout the United States.
