Church Mutual Insurance Co. has launched an online subsidiary targeted to smaller churches and other religious organizations.
CM Select Insurance Co. will allow those clients to get quotes, purchase policies and manage their insurance needs online.
CM Select is currently writing business owner policies (BOP), property and liability insurance for smaller churches and other religious organizations of all denominations in Michigan, with plans to launch in Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin by year’s end. This growth is expected to continue through 2019. CM Select has earned a financial strength rating of “A” (Excellent) from A.M. Best, the company said.
Kurt Brandau, CM Select president, said that smaller churches in particular are looking for convenient coverage unique to their specific needs.
“We’re proud to be the first insurer of faith-based organizations to provide an online purchasing experience, allowing them to spend more time focusing on their mission,” Brandau said.
